Bernedoodles can be a wide variety of colors and patterns. The poodle DNA is where most of the variation occurs. They can range from solid black, black & brown, black & white, or a tri-color (mix of white, black and brown) and more. Here is a list of the variations.
Sable: black colored tips on white and brown.
Brindle: Sometimes described as stripes, brindle is a meld of colors in the coat pattern.
Chocolate: Brown
Phantom: Generally dominant black with brown highlights. But can be any foundational color with one other highlight color.
Merle: Grey, copper & black
Bernedoodles color can change as they grow.
Furnished:
Furnished refers to the fringe around a Bernedoodle muzzle. If there is no fringe, and a smooth muzzle, then it is referred to as unfurnished. Fully furnished is a healthy fringe on the muzzle.
Care:
Bernedoodles do require steady grooming. When cut short, their coat needs occasional brushing. If left long, their coat needs daily, consistent brushing or mats can easily become a problem. Coat care can be diminished by having them shaved down/groomed every 3 months or so.
